Maybe it’s happened to you before: you knew you kind of liked a guy, but then he did one special move that made your heart do a triple back flip – now you are crazy about him.
How does this happen??
It’s not about fancy tricks, it’s about understanding this secret of deep, lasting attraction…

I enjoyed this video. It made perfect sense to me. I, too have felt this microattraction moment. I was reminded of the moment that I fell for someone who’s not in my life anymore. It was a night where he grabbed hand, turned on some music and slow danced while singing quietly to me. It literally felt as though time stopped. I fell hard that night.
Mircoattraction moment: When I first started dating my current boyfriend, on our 4th date he bought me flowers. I knew he didn’t have a lot of money at the time because he wasn’t able to work due to an injury but he bought me flowers anyways. The moment I knew I had fallen for him was when I got home from the date with the flowers. They weren’t flowers I would have picked out for myself but I absolutely loved them because THEY WERE FROM HIM! He showed me regardless of his situation that he cared about me!
When asked for what seemed like the 100th time, “How are you still single?” I used a Mathew Hussey tip, as I always do to this question, “I guess I am choosy, I like the idea of a relationship, but it will have to be amazing”. This man, womithiut hesitation asked, “what would make it amazing?” He is the first man to ask that question in all the times that I have said this. It was defiantly a micro moment that instantly made him more attractive.
We shall see what happens next.
My moment of attraction to a guy is him helping pregnant women with nutritional information to help the unborn child become healthy.
He had stayed over the night before and it snowed almost a foot. It was a beautiful sunny morning and without hesitation or complaint he got my new snowblower out, taught me how to use it and together we got the long driveway cleared. I had on a fur lined hood and my face was frosty. He kissed me long and hard saying I looked, “sexy as hell.”
I came across a photo of the guy I was interested in helping his niece with her homework. He was so focused on her. It was such a genuine thing to see.
When I first started seeing this guy and we were texting back and forth, at work, there was this spiders egg that I found inside something. I texted him because I didn’t know what to do about it.
I didn’t want to hurt the spiders but I also needed to get it out of the store. He told me I should carefully put it in a cup and take it outside. I thought it was so compassionate of him to also care about the wellbeing of other creatures.
I was attracted to my friend who shared some very personal information about his deceased wife and then stated, “I have never shared that with anyone before”. I was so happy to know the level of trust he placed in our first meeting. (We are senior citizens, but active in every aspect of life.)
What a lovely video, Matthew. I actually had one of these moments tonight with a guy I’ve been seeing. He told me that he mentioned to a friend that he’s trying to cut back on gluten as a way to support me in my gluten restriction. He hadn’t even told me that he was thinking of doing that… and it really touched me.
Thank you for all the care you put into your videos and programs, they are very helpful.
The video is spot on. Our first date it was when our eyes met, we spent the night talking & he was a true gentleman ending the evening with a single kiss. Our next date which was the following night we shared a meal & he brought me a small box of chocolates, I knew this was the person for me.
3 months into our relationship I got cancer & he was so supportive throughout my surgery & treatment.
I miss the little things..,,it’s changed after 2 years because he developed prostate issues & has no libido. He’s pushing me away!
I watch your videos in the hope I can gain a way of maintaining this relationship.
Oh wow, i had a seen this guy a couple of times around my workplace. One day i was about to walk through a door, he was coming from the opposite direction with the intention of walking through the same door. He stopped, and with a smile allowed me to go through first. I thought that was so gentlemanly for him and couldn’t stop thinking about him after that. Most guys at our workplace would not have waited for me, they would have just gone through.
He asked important questions about me and really seemed to care about me, my interests and my family.
So this guy I dated once knew I was having an outpatient procedure where I would be in lots of pain and not able to walk for a few days. That night he showed up at my door and stayed the entire weekend taking care of me.
This may sound bad, but I really like this i’ve been dating, but I knew for sure that I was falling hard for him, when I hadn’t seen him for a couple of weeks and he wanted to take me out but I had plans, so he kept asking until we found a time I could fit him in, we went out and had a great evening, he came back to mine, and one thing led to another, we were in bed cuddling and kissing, fooling around a bit and at some point I could feel him drifting off to sleep and his head getting heavier on the pillow so I just held a kiss for a bit and yep he fell asleep but the second I pulled my lips off his, he woke up and carried on kissing me, and hold it again and yep he would fall back asleep the second I pulled my lips away, this happened a few times.
But I wasn’t annoyed, I found it kinda cute because every time I pulled away or moved he’d carry on.
I told him what he was doing and he blushed and started laughing saying ‘nothing gets passed you’, so I cuddled up to him and let him sleep, and he never let go of me, held me all night, his arm was dead in the morning but I loved it, it was just such a great night and I still smile and think how cute it was that pulling away from him woke him up every time. I don’t know why but it fell hard for him that night.
Agree that this is truly where the game is played!! I’ve been with my guy for only a few months. Examples- When be bought Kleenex for his house because he knows I like it vs toilet paper! When he bought me a new towel for when I sleep over. When he made me dinner he thought of everything from candles to appetizers to dessert. It was all him. When he keeps an article from the paper that he thinks I’ll like. When he does research on hypothyroidism to understand my condition better and to support me. I could go on and on. The funny thing…this guy isn’t traditionally handsome, but when he does these things, his attraction score continues to go up!!
I was dating a guy but sadly we split up due to unresolved issues with his ex-wife (he was already divorced when we got together). Nevertheless, just after Christmas, he made a special effort to come and visit me in my new place, bringing with him a thoughtful house warming present and insisting on coming up to say hello to my parents. That meant a lot to me. Time will tell if we find a way back to each other…
I met my future husband at a wedding, he had a toddler on his back at the wedding. I was drawn to him after I found out, that the toddler wasn’t his and he was taking care of him.
Fellow I’ve been seeing ALWAYS remembers anecdotes and/or things I’ve mentioned in the past. That’s amazing and foreign to me but I love it and consider quite happily to be one of those MICRO attraction points! That, and he is always so pro-active in helping me whatever it is I am working on or need to be working on! It’s just such a complete 180 degrees from what I experienced in the past 23 years I was married. And most unhappily I’ve realized. I was not loved well so I take precautions not to waste my precious time on that sort of nonsense again. Cut your losses and move on. If people decide to alter their behavior for you – generally it lasts for only a very short duration. So, my suggestion is to start with a person and their qualities that you are attracted to, know it is a good situation for you, you grow as a person and not try to change them. Hugs, Andrea
It happend to me a few weeks ago.
I’m kinda embarrassed to admit this, since I have a boyfriend and the guy this story is about is like 6 years younger than me.
I actually never met him, we only met in this online game we play together: you’re in a team of six and while playing this game you talk over headphones with each other.
One day we were playing and the two of us were the only Dutch people in this team, so we’re talking English the whole time. At one point I saw his character die in a ridiculous way, and I said: ‘oh dude, hahahaha, what are you doing!’ And he replied back playfully, in Dutch (so I was the only one who could understand) ‘Shhhh, no one saw that’.
I felt instantly a little attracted to him, and I caught myself thinking “why was that so darn cute?”. It was probably because he indirectly said ‘shh I screw up, but lets keep that our secret’
It’s not like I’m drooling all over this guy, but it did make me always check if he is online first before I start the game.
My new friend has a way of giving me those micromoments every time we meet… just the way he handles my kids, the way he holds my hand, the way he is open about his feelings towards me, the way hey let his tears flow when the nurse came and took his father for an emergency operation, the way he cuddles up to me like no one has ever done… those things… he makes me feel safe to be myself and finaly feel honestly loved for the right reasons for the first time in my life.
