How To Communicate With Your Man About Sex

I’m back on The Today Show! They’ve given our segment a new title… In this week’s episode of “Battle Of The Sexperts” I take a question on how to deal with your man’s sex jokes, and how to get a man to communicate more effectively (as well as E.Jean’s crazy responses : ). Enjoy!

  • I always get a kick out of these segments! Where does E Jean come up with some of her responses lol!!

  • Oh I just hate how much that other lady is annoying and not helpful at all! I know it’s supposed to be a fun segment or whatever, but I always feel that they are always trying too hard to make it fun and they end up almost ruinning everything. They’re lucky to have you to save this show! Thanks so much for the helpful advice, Matt! xx

  • I don’t care for E. Jean, they should consider getting rid of her for this segment. She never makes any sense and I cringe every time she speaks. I’m not normally this harsh but Matthew you make her look silly because your advice is so on target and based on concrete logic. And her advice is soo……not. And your reactions often prove that! :) I don’t doubt that she’s an expert in her own right but she should probably stick to writing. You make the segment Matt – they need to realize this!

  • Matt, it truly amazes me how these two intelligent women from the Today show keep inviting that utterly useless lady from (Elle was it?) magazine. It is beyond blatantly obvious that both of you are LIGHT years away in knowledge, common sense and good advice.

If I were you, I’d be peeved at having to share the sage with her (ok, I know you are but you are obviously very professional so you are cool, calm and collected as you should be), however… I reckon keep doing what you are doing which is giving great advice the way you usually do and just let her say her nonsense because truly, all it does is 1) make her look terrible! and 2) puts you in a higher pedestal anyway because you are great all the time but now, by comparison, you are even better than if you were alone!

So there… it’s all good for you either way.

But since the Today show is so short, I really do wonder why the two (pretty awesome) hosts bother with her. Maybe it’s to add a bit of controversy to the whole thing but still, I don’t think it’s necessary. I’d personally much rather hear an extra minute of Matthew Hussey than the super useless (even if controversial and therefore mildly entertaining) banter of what’s her name.

Still, and in summary, it’s ALWAYS fun, informative and just plain awesome to hear you. Thanks again! :)

  • OMG those viciously catty women, teaming up to make fun of the female advice columnist, were dreadful! The woman was clearly just nervous and they cackled as they eviscerated her! I couldn’t pay attention to the discussion because I was so shocked by the meanness!
Wow. Evil, rich witches. I bet they are just as selfishly brutal to waiters, coworkers, their husbands and their children.

  • Matt you are so refreshing and EG is outdated! Sorry EG but he has always blown you out of the water as far as advice goes! EG makes women seem desperate and subservient and Matt says, ” hey let’s get to the root of the problem and communicate!” Good for you Matt…keep up the knowledge of what men hear and what woman say thst makes a difference in current relationships.

  • Aw. :( How old are we ladies? Seems like high school! The sheep fall in line behind the catty pretty ladies,
but hey. More power to you. Personally I was surprised at the level of blatant rudeness. Not sure where the hostility is coming from.
As far as the lovely hosts, part of me wants to hand it to homegirl for keeping it real, even as part of me would have a hard time not handing her ass to her on a platter, if it was me she was heckling. But, again, it’s all in the interest of ratings, yikes. ;/ Overall, not a good show of women at their best.

“Men and women range themselves into three classes or orders of intelligence; you can tell the lowest class by their habit of always talking about persons; the next by the fact that their habit is always to converse about things; the highest by their preference for the discussion of ideas.”
